Terms of Service

TheraConnect ("we", "us", or "our") is an online platform that makes it easy for parents and caregivers to connect with verified therapists, make secure payments, and track their children's progress. By using TheraConnect (www.theraconnect.org) or any of our services, you agree to these Terms of Use.

Our platform and services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly transact or provide any services to persons under 18. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

TheraConnect is committed to managing your Personal Information in line with global industry best practices. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we use your information and the steps we take to protect it. You agree to comply with all data privacy and security requirements applicable to your use of the platform, including applicable provisions of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

You agree not to allow anyone else to have or use your password details and to comply with all reasonable instructions we may issue regarding account access and security. In the event you share your password details, TheraConnect will not be liable to you for losses or damages. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

TheraConnect verifies therapists through a multi-step process including professional license validation, credential review, and background checks where applicable. However, TheraConnect does not guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of any therapist's services. Parents and caregivers retain the responsibility to independently assess whether a therapist is appropriate for their child's needs.

You may only process payments when authorised to do so by TheraConnect. We will only process transactions authorised by the applicable payment network or card issuer. We do not guarantee or assume any liability for transactions that are later reversed or charged back. Our fees will be calculated as demonstrated on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to revise our fees and will notify you within 5 days of any such change. Payouts to therapists are initiated within thirty (30) days of cleared transactions.

If you believe that an unauthorized or problematic transaction has taken place, you agree to notify us immediately so we can take action to help prevent financial loss or fraudulent activity. All claims related to payments must be made within 30 days of the transaction date. Refunds can only be made if the therapy service has not been initiated. If a service has commenced, we will deduct the proportion of sessions completed before processing any refund. We intervene in disputes between therapists and parents concerning payments, services rendered, and related issues.

You agree to use TheraConnect only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not: • Post or transmit any false, misleading, or fraudulent content • Impersonate any person or entity • Upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform • Use the platform for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the platform

WE TRY TO KEEP THERACONNECT AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES AND BUG-FREE, HOWEVER, YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. OUR WEBSITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. THERACONNECT MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT OUR SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

We do not grant any right or license to any TheraConnect intellectual property rights by implication, estoppel, or otherwise other than those expressly mentioned in this Agreement. Each party shall retain all intellectual property rights including all ownership rights, title, and interest in and to its own products and services.

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by closing your TheraConnect account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users, therapists, or the platform.

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws currently in force in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that cannot be settled by mutual negotiation within one (1) month shall be referred to arbitration at the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC), governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Cap A10. The findings of the arbitrator shall be binding on both parties.

We may update these Terms as our platform evolves. We will notify users of material changes on this page. By continuing to use TheraConnect after changes are posted, you accept the revised Terms. If you object to any changes, you must stop using the platform immediately.
